Which cereal stays crunchier for longer??? (No one wants soggy cereal) Aim: To see which food absorbs the most milk
Hypothesis: The Weetabix will absorb milk the quickest because of large mass. Equipment: some bowls, sort, measuring cyndrical tube, 4 different types of cereal Variables;
Independent changing: Cereal
Centered Variable: quantity of dairy first put into the bowl. (250mL) Risk assessment: A bowl may well fall on the ground and cut somebody foot. Technique
1 . Think about the cereals to 40g
2 . Amount the cereals 1-4
3. Put the four cereals in four separate bowls with the same amount every single (grams) some. Pour 250ml of milk into the dishes starting with cereal number #1 progressing to cereal number #4 5. Time the cereal from when you place the first 100ml of dairy into the 1st bowl for 10 minutes six. Observations: although watching the cereal in the ten tiny time period, the weet-bix soaked up milk quite fast although nutrigrain was slow. The nutrigrain soaked up milk reduced due to its small mass, good results . the cocopops the milk have to enter the sugar coating ahead of getting to the cereal causing a hold off in the consumption of the food. Discussion: The results demonstrated that food with bigger mass consumed milk more rapidly, apart from nutrigrain and cocorota pops because of their sugar covering the dairy took much longer to absorb. Through repeated observation of countless different types of food, it became apparent that Nutrigrain absorbed one of the most milk strongly followed by Cocopops and Cornflakes, with Weet-bix absorbing the smallest amount of. This remark strongly compared with the previously set speculation, that weet-bix would absorb the highest quantity of dairy.
