This is a short guideline for young students, intended to support using the citation and reference formats proven in the APA Manual, Sixth Edition. This document summarizes the most common parts of the Newsletter Manual in the American Mental Association (APA, 2010) that you will use in producing a thesis. In-text citations are used to provide credit for the work and ideas of others on which you are building your disagreement. In-text details are usually organised like this: (Author's last name, distribution year). To work with the APA style, you will create in-text citations throughout your work. The references themselves will appear in a reference list by the end of your thesis. The recommendations will be arranged in alphabetical order and can give total details about your cited sources. It is a good option to use MS Word 2010 to file format your referrals. When you start applying references in Word 2010, use the sources menu and choose the APA Sixth Model reference style.
